Back to School!
Happy Monday y’all! I’m back and feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world. We had a great time on vacay in Texas and came back home just in time for the school year to begin. If you are anything like me, you will completely relate to this funny.

Gosh I remember literally grieving when both of my girls went to kindergarten. It was the hardest thing to send my babies off and out of my hands for 8 hours. Now, present day, I’m definitely like ok, have a great day. Peace out. I love a good routine and during the school year we have early bedtimes and early mornings. Lunches planned and sports schedules that rule our calendar. My type A personality feeds on that. I love the summer slowdown don’t get me wrong but once august rolls around I’m happy for the very regulated and routine kind of days.

I wanted to share today, my way of planning meals and grocery lists. I like to get my grocery shopping done the first part of the week and I try to plan a weeks worth of meals before I have to make another dreaded trip to the grocery store. Both of my girlies pack their lunches everyday and I start out the year strong with making the Pinterest worthy lunches but slack as the year goes on to lunchables and uncrustables.

I will occasionally use the grocery pick up but I really like walking up and down the isles and find that it takes a lot of time adding the items online in my opinion. I don’t have small kiddos at home either but would have loved grocery pickup with a newborn. Days that I work I don’t typically get home till 730p so this Mama doesn’t cook those days. On any given week, you will find pasta and tacos on the rotation. It seems when I branch out and try something out of the box, it’s an epic fail. So we stick with what we know.
May God Bless and protect our sweet kiddos this school year and guide them to make good decisions. All you parents sending your babies to kindergarten, my heart hurts for you but know that it’s a temporary feeling and you will be embracing the first day of school in a few years time. Ha!
See ya back here Wednesday!
