Summer Beach Reads
I have enjoyed reading books for as long as I can remember. Growing up without devices lead you to dive into a good book and enjoy where it might take you. I am definitely going to be doing book reviews for y’all. In the past ohhh 10 years give or take I have taken to reading on my kindle. It’s the only way to go! I love the satisfaction of finishing a book late at night only to download a new one. I’m a nerd. I own it.

Let’s kick off with a Summer beach edition book review!! I have read all of these and will vouch for how great they were.
here we go!!
Swear on this Life by Renee Carlino
I loved the characters in this book, it begins with a girl who reads a best selling novel and it just seems all too familiar to her. She figures out it was written and based on her own childhood and the author is her childhood best friend and first love who she hasn’t seen in a decade. There is some drama surrounding their past that kept me gripped. I really enjoyed this one.

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reed
I have recommended this book so many times over the years. It is one of those that stuck in my soul. Oh it’s a good read. High school sweethearts get married and have a perfect life but the husband goes missing in a plane crash and is presumed dead. the wife after years of grieving tries to move forward, meeting a great guy. Only to find out her husband is alive. Trying to navigate what to do with her heart and emotions. It’s a rollercoaster. so good! Read this book!

The Sound of Gravel by Ruth Wariner
This memoir was haunting and very real. The author wrote this about her life growing up being raised in a polygamist family being one of 40 kids. As you can imagine what that entails. It was sobering and just very harsh.

Castle of Water by Dane Huckelbridge
This may not be a great read if you are flying in a small plane to a tropical island. Haha but it was very good! It begins with a plane crash carrying 5 people total, only 2 survivors who end up making their way to a desolate tropical island so far out in the sea that they have to learn to live and survive together for years. so many highs and lows and you feel those with the characters in this book. once I finished reading it I almost thought it had been a real story.

The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine
I bet most have read this one but I had to share it just in case. it has shocking turns and secrets. The lengths a woman will go to get what they want.

Open Book by Jessica Simpson
Not even sorry that I read this. I was a fan of hers just from the boy band days but after reading her memoir, I just love her more. She has overcome a lot. it was a quick read for me.

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
Just looking at this book cover screams beach read. This was a cute and fast read. Twin sisters and completely different. One gets the chance to take her sisters beach trip with a total stranger and of course they fall in love along the way. It has some depth to it though and if this was a movie I would totally watch it!

Feels like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey
Two very different women, same struggles and how their lives intertwine. Loved getting to know the characters in this book and thought it was a sweet story plot.

Last but not least.
These Tangled Vines by
I recommended this one a book club I am part of. Its an epic love story. One that goes back generations in Italy at a vineyard there. It made me want to book a trip to Italy and eat all the food and see the sights. I highly recommend this one. Again the characters were so good. I felt like I knew them.

Hope you guys check some of these reads out this Summer or really anytime. Cant go wrong! #readersareleaders
